Discarded-leather avant-garde shoes—raw, unsettling, emotionally expressive.

HARDWIRED

This avant-garde shoe collection, handcrafted in Italy, explores the intersection of mental health and fashion through the lens of schizophrenia. Created using discarded leather from local tanneries, each piece is brought to life through textural experimentspainting on leather, and felting techniques—reflecting the contrast between the vibrant complexity of human emotions and the often bland, conformist world around us. The designs are intentionally unsettling yet beautiful, capturing the tension between inner chaos and outer perception. Through distorted forms, asymmetry, and contrasting materials, the shoes tell stories of fragmentation, duality, and the search for harmony within. It’s not just about design—it’s about giving shape to the invisible and creating empathy through wearable art.

At its core, this collection is a statement: fashion doesn’t need to be expensive to be expressive. When rooted in authenticity, self-expression through fashion becomes deeply therapeutic. These pieces challenge the idea that boldness needs permission—celebrating individuality, emotional truth, and the courage to be unapologetically different.

This series reminds us that true style is not about trends or money, but about embracing who we are, and using fashion to wear that truth—loudly, brightly, and beautifully.
